One of the most common questions readers ask about Six-Star Astrology is whether the system "works" for famous people whose lives are publicly documented. It is a fair question. If the cycle is real, you should be able to check it against people whose careers are visible on the public record and see if the system's framing of Shadow, Halt, and Decline matches the textures of those years.
This article does exactly that for six well-known public figures with verifiable birth dates. For each one, the Six-Star type calculated from their birth date, the calendar windows of their recent and upcoming Daisakkai, and a short note on what was publicly happening in their lives during the most recent window — using only facts that can be verified from public reporting, not interpretive claims about causation.
A note on what this is and is not. The system is calendar-based, not causal. Two people born the same week share a star type but live different lives. The point of this exercise is not to "explain" anyone's career through the cycle. The point is to show how the math comes out for people whose timelines you already know, so you can develop your own sense of whether the system's three-year windows correspond to anything you notice. We have skipped the celebrities whose recent Daisakkai windows produced no public events we could verify cleanly. Eight candidates were considered; six made the cut.
A second note: occult and astrological reading is not a substitute for explanation. Real life is a tangle of decisions, luck, structural circumstances, and timing. The cycle is one lens. Read these as data points, not verdicts.
Elon Musk
Born: June 28, 1971 Six-Star type: Venus-Minus Most recent Daisakkai: 2016–2018 (Shadow 2016, Halt 2017, Decline 2018) Next Daisakkai: 2028–2030 Where he is in 2026: Prosperity
The Venus-Minus 2016–2018 Daisakkai window is among the more visible recent celebrity cases because Musk's professional life during those three years was unusually well documented. In Halt (2017), Tesla's Model 3 production ran into the publicly documented "production hell" phase that Musk himself referred to repeatedly in earnings calls and interviews. In Decline (2018), Musk publicly settled with the SEC over the "funding secured" tweet and stepped down as Tesla chairman as part of the settlement.
The system would not claim those events were caused by the cycle. What the system would notice is that the three-year Daisakkai window aligned with publicly observable strain. Read as a data point, not as a prediction. Musk's next Daisakkai opens in 2028.
Beyoncé
Born: September 4, 1981 Six-Star type: Venus-Minus Most recent Daisakkai: 2016–2018 (Shadow 2016, Halt 2017, Decline 2018) Next Daisakkai: 2028–2030 Where she is in 2026: Prosperity
Beyoncé and Musk are both Venus-Minus and share the 2016–2018 Daisakkai window, which is a useful illustration of how unrelated public figures with the same star type land in the same calendar years. Beyoncé's public output during the window was characteristically distinct: Lemonade was released in 2016 (Shadow), and she gave birth to twins Rumi and Sir Carter in 2017 (Halt) — the latter being one of the heaviest possible cycle-aligned commitments for a Halt year, made years in advance.
The interesting reading here is that the same Daisakkai years can be experienced very differently depending on what was already in motion before they opened. Beyoncé entered 2016 with extraordinary structural support — collaborators, family, infrastructure. Musk entered the same window mid-stress in his largest company. Same cycle, different lived years. Both finished their Daisakkai. Next window opens 2028.
Barack Obama
Born: August 4, 1961 Six-Star type: Saturn-Minus Most recent Daisakkai: 2018–2020 (Shadow 2018, Halt 2019, Decline 2020) Next Daisakkai: 2030–2032 Where he is in 2026: Confusion (chūsakkai — middle warning year)
Obama's recent Daisakkai was a post-presidency window. The years 2018 through 2020 covered the production and release of his presidential memoir A Promised Land (published November 2020, in Decline), the buildout of Higher Ground Productions' first wave of major Netflix projects, and his most active stretch of post-presidential public commentary during a contentious electoral cycle.
The cycle's traditional reading for Saturn-Minus in Halt — that the temperament's natural inwardness gets amplified — fits the documented public posture of those years (selective engagement, deep work on the book, more contemplation than confrontation). Whether that is the cycle working or just a careful person doing careful work, the system would not pretend to resolve. The data point is that the documented behaviors fell inside the calendar window the math predicts.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Born: February 5, 1985 Six-Star type: Saturn-Minus Most recent Daisakkai: 2018–2020 (Shadow 2018, Halt 2019, Decline 2020) Next Daisakkai: 2030–2032 Where he is in 2026: Confusion (chūsakkai)
Ronaldo's 2018–2020 Daisakkai window covered his transfer from Real Madrid to Juventus in July 2018 (Shadow) — a move that the public record shows turned out less successful than the previous Madrid era — and the COVID-19 pandemic disruption to football's 2019–2020 season (Decline), which affected his entire industry's calendar regardless of cycle.
The Saturn-Minus pattern of struggling during Daisakkai is documented across multiple practitioner sources, and Ronaldo's transition years are at least consistent with that framing. His Juventus statistics, while strong, were below his Madrid peak, and he eventually returned to Manchester United (2021, Seed) for the new cycle. Whether that timing is meaningful or coincidence is up to the reader. Ronaldo's next Daisakkai opens in 2030.
Taylor Swift
Born: December 13, 1989 Six-Star type: Jupiter-Minus Most recent Daisakkai: 2022–2024 (Shadow 2022, Halt 2023, Decline 2024) Next Daisakkai: 2034–2036 Where she is in 2026: Sprout
Taylor Swift's 2022–2024 Daisakkai is one of the most counterintuitive recent examples for English readers of Six-Star Astrology, because the years coincided with the Eras Tour — the highest-grossing concert tour in history at the time of its conclusion, by public reporting from Pollstar and concert industry trade outlets. The 2023 calendar year, which was Halt for Jupiter-Minus, was the tour's most intense period.
Two readings of this are possible. First, the cycle's caution against new initiation does not apply to projects already in motion — the Eras Tour was announced in November 2022, in Shadow, but its planning predated the cycle window. The tour was continuation, not initiation. Second, the cycle is one factor among many, and a sufficiently strong project, well-staffed and well-prepared, can carry through Daisakkai without the cycle "stopping" it. The system's framing is that Daisakkai makes new initiation expensive; it does not make ongoing momentum impossible.
The tour ended in late 2024 (Decline), and Swift entered Seed in 2025 with the announced engagement to Travis Kelce and the Life of a Showgirl album. The first move of the new cycle, in cycle-aligned timing. Her next Daisakkai opens in 2034.
Kazuko Hosoki
Born: April 8, 1938 Six-Star type: Saturn-Plus Most recent Daisakkai: 2017–2019 (Shadow 2017, Halt 2018, Decline 2019) Final Daisakkai: She passed away in November 2021, in her cycle's Confusion year
Including the system's founder is unavoidable. Kazuko Hosoki was Saturn-Plus, and her final completed Daisakkai window was 2017–2019. The public record shows her direct media activity declining steadily across those years, with her daughter Hosoki Kaori taking on increasing public-facing responsibility for the family's commercial empire — consistent with the cycle's traditional advice that Daisakkai is a phase for transition rather than expansion.
Hosoki passed away in November 2021. By her own system's calculation, she was in Confusion (chūsakkai — a single warning year, not Daisakkai). The cycle does not predict death and the system does not claim it does, but the timing is worth noting for completeness: Hosoki herself, in her own framework, was in a chūsakkai year at the end of her life. The system's founder did not stage-manage her own cycle for publicity. The math is what it is.
For more on Hosoki's life and the system she built, see the Kazuko Hosoki biographical article.
What this exercise actually shows
Going through six well-documented public figures by Six-Star type, three things show up consistently.
The math is the same for everyone. Two people with the same birth-year parity and the same day-ganzhi calculation land on the same star type — Musk and Beyoncé both being Venus-Minus is not surprising; it is what the system says should happen for two people who land in the same star-type partition. Their lives during the same calendar window were very different. The system does not claim to predict lives. It claims to predict calendar windows.
The cycle does not stop strong projects. Taylor Swift's Eras Tour ran through the deepest year of her Daisakkai with extraordinary public success. The cycle's traditional caution is against initiating new commitments during Daisakkai, not against continuing well-staffed projects already in motion. The Eras Tour was, in the system's terms, continuation. So was Obama's post-presidency memoir work. So was Beyoncé's family expansion that had been planned years prior.
The cycle is most visible in transitions. The cleanest readings — Musk's Tesla production hell, Ronaldo's Madrid-to-Juventus transfer, Hosoki's own gradual public step-back — all involve people in their Daisakkai going through major transitions that the public can see. The system would say that transitions happen across all twelve years of the cycle, but Daisakkai transitions tend to be the ones that look (in retrospect) like the cycle was asking for them.
A final disclaimer. Occult and astrological cycle reading is not a substitute for causal explanation. Six-Star Astrology is a frame, not a verdict. The point of this article is not to claim that any of the events above were caused by the cycle. The point is to show that the cycle's calendar windows align cleanly with the documented timelines of public figures whose lives are visible enough to check. Whether that alignment means anything is a question each reader has to answer for themselves.
If you want to see how your own birth date maps onto the cycle, the free Six-Star reading returns your star type and current phase in seconds. For the practical playbook on what to actually do during your three years, the how-to-survive guide is the page to read. For the per-type windows running out to the 2040s, the Daisakkai by star type article gives you the calendar dates.
The cycle does not care who you are. It runs the same way for celebrities and for everyone else. That is, in a sense, the comforting part.
